Mytho-Poetic Embodiment is a journey through the five elements, to explore the unique predicament of artists living in today's world, while drawing inspiration from ancient bardic traditions.
Through song, story, mythology, poetry and imaginal journeys, we will bridge the mystical and the practical to weave a revitalizing mythos of empowerment for modern day artists. Today, as artists navigate social media, late stage capitalism and cultural pressures of perfectionism, we must return to the muse of the Earth, to remember where we truly come from.
Together, we will re-root our artistry back into the fertile soil of the natural world while reclaiming the power and responsibility of boundless creativity. We will craft song, story, and poetry while contemplating, "What is the role of the artist, living amidst rampant injustice, horrific violence and ecological crisis?”.
Let us apprentice to the age old art of alchemizing raw emotion into cathartic creative expression for personal and collective healing.
This course is for artists seeking to revitalize their creativity, while fostering a deeper relationship to nature, community and their own unique craft.
We welcome artists of all disciplines; songwriters, storytellers, poets, dancers, visual artists, ect. We welcome those just beginning their creative path and those who have cultivated their craft for many moons. We welcome those questioning the role of the artist in the modern day.
